Over the past 12 months PCSA Kent has been “Charity of the Year” at Sainsbury’s Westwood Cross and on Friday 24th May Sainsbury’s  presented the Charity with a cheque for £5,738.66.  PCSA Kent held 14 collection/outreach days at the store to help raise awareness and improve outcomes for men diagnosed with prostate cancer  in the local area. As well as the collection and outreach days Sainsbury’s store staff have held their own fund-raising events.  There were also collection buckets at the end of the tills and in the fuel station.

Chairman of the Association, Terry Laidlaw, has said “the support Sainsbury’s have provided was quite overwhelming and they have made a massive difference to improving the care of men with this disease in East Kent”.  He thanked members of the public and store staff for their huge generosity and support.
